What’s on at BlogSpot during the ETO Show?
I’ve been dying to get more involved with the ETO Show since I started working in the adult industry because the atmosphere is so amazing. I’ve gone to the event for the last 2 years and have always left with loads of new friends, a bag full of samples and a renewed passion for sex toys.
During my visit to the ETO Show last year, I met with some potential clients who were interested in my writing services. We ventured over to the Bloggers area to chat and found two plastic chairs and a small table. We conducted the meeting with me sat on the floor holding a pad and pen on my knees. Understandably for the guys at ETO, they were very busy with trade exhibitors and had very little opportunity to focus on the blogging area.
So, when the opportunity arose for Cara Sutra and I to take over the Bloggers Corner at ETO this June, we grabbed it with both hands and promised to create a comfortable area for bloggers where they could write and network with other industry people. Cara is also running the Cara Sutra Collection Stand so will be venturing between both stands all day, please pay her a visit at Stand E11 and take a look at the Fantasy By Cara Sutra Beginners Bondage Kit.
I’ve always said that Bloggers are a hugely undervalued resource. Our daily musings reach thousands of potential customers and our hard hitting reviews sell hundreds of products every year. Both Cara and I wanted to ensure that the Bloggers who visit ETO this year feel like the valued commodity they are. So with this in mind, we contacted Kev Blisse of Smut UK and enlisted his help. The first item on the agenda was a name, we decided on the BlogSpot.
Bloggers, what you can expect at (BlogSpot) Stand A36 are some fabulous goody bags (which are quickly turning into sacks) for the first 50 visitors. All bags will be stuffed full of treats for our beloved writers to take home and enjoy. I’d like to thank all those wonderful companies who have stepped in and offered so many different products for our bags. Everyone will be leaving feeling very spoilt.
In addition to goody bags, Cara and I are organising comfortable seating, a charging station for all your electricals and refreshments to enjoy during your visit. For those who want to get involved, we have some fun networking games and a Grand Raffle where you’ll have the chance to win over £800 worth or prizes.
Throughout the day, both Cara and I will be on hand to offer advice and to chat about blogging, the sex toy industry and any other relevant topics. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all!
In addition to writers, we are extending our invitation to company representatives too. Ask us about using bloggers to help to grow your business and learn more about the work that bloggers actually do. Take some time to sit in Bloggers Corner and chat to our visitors, BlogSpot is an excellent place to network with the people who help to sell your products.
For those visiting BlogSpot, why not take some time to look at our fabulous roller banner. The banners are created by Kev Blisse from the husband and wife Smut UK duo and will be the same format as the banners used at the Smut UK events. These events take place up and down the country and Smut offer a great advertising package. Although the BlogSpot banner is now full, you can still contact Kev at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask more about advertising at the popular Smut UK events.
We are still inviting companies and bloggers to get involved with BlogSpot by donating products for our goody bags. If you’re interested in reaching out to the blogging community, we are looking for items or business cards to put in 50 bags and hand out to our visitors.
All items can be sent to the Voluptasse offices at
21 Shorrock Lane,
Or hand to myself or Cara at the beginning of ETO. If you have any further questions, please contact myself or Cara for more information.
I’d like to take a moment to thank both Cara and Kev for all their help and support over the last couple of weeks whilst my Grandad was poorly and with his subsequent passing. Like true friends, they picked up the slack without complaint and made things happen. For that, I am really grateful.
