Review of the Doxy Die Cast

Lovers of the discontinued Hitachi Magic Wand found exactly what they were looking for when the UK based Doxy company brought out their powerful Doxy massager. Powered by mains electricity, and one of the most powerful wands on the planet, improving the Doxy Wand Massager was always going to be a challenge for Doxy.
It was at the ETO Show in Birmingham this year, that I was handed the Doxy Die Cast Wand Vibrator from the wonderful guys at Doxy. In addition to the many available colours of wand now available, the Doxy Die Cast offered something different to the shopper in terms of a sleeker appearance, easier to use functions and a beautiful storage case.
Where can I buy the Doxy Die Cast?
The Doxy Die Cast is available from most sex toy retailers, but can be found at the Doxy Website for £149.99. I was given the Doxy Die Cast Wand Massager for free, in return for an honest and unbiased review of the product.
How is the Doxy Die Cast different from the traditional Doxy Wand Massager?
The Doxy Die Cast is crafted using aluminium/ titanium. The chrome is highly polished and buffed to get the high quality finish to the product. Because it’s crafted from metal, the Doxy is heavier than the standard wand massager but still very comfortable to hold. During use, the buttons light up to ensure that you can switch between modes in the dark, whilst the zip up case is perfect for safe storage of the wand.
How to use the Doxy Die Cast
Using the Doxy Die Cast Wand Vibrator is really easy. Plug the wand into the main electricity and use the top button to switch the wand on. Switch through the modes by pressing the middle button to increase power, and the bottom button to decrease the power.
My Review of the Doxy Die Cast Wand Massager
The Doxy Die Cast Wand Vibrator is a beautiful product. At almost 14 inches in length, this wand massager is exactly the same size as the traditional Doxy, but the chrome finish and black silicone head are much more stylish and aesthetically pleasing. The silicone head measures exactly the same in circumference, so you can still use the Doxy Die Cast with your favourite attachments and at 2.8 metres long, the cable enables plenty of room for manoeuvre during use.
Before using the Doxy Die Cast Wand Massager, I highly recommend keeping plenty of water-based lubricant close to hand. The wand is still incredibly powerful, but much quieter than the previous model during use. Something that will certainly please those who live in shared accommodation.
To get the best results from the wand, apply lots of water-based lube and start on the lower settings. Because the wand is so powerful, I find that I prefer to work my way up to the desired setting during use instead of opting for power straight away. The Doxy Die Cast has a soft, flexible head that cushions the rumble of vibration and distributes the sensations around the clitoris without applying too much direct pressure. I can move the wand around, but I never lose the sensation – it’s magic!
Using the function buttons, there are 8 different pleasure settings to choose from. Simply press the buttons to increase or decrease the intensity of the vibrator. To switch it off, just keep your finger on the top button.
After use, the head can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or anti-bacterial wipe. The Doxy Die Cast is not a water-proof sex toy and must never be submerged in water, even to clean. The lovely zip up case is ideal for safe and hygienic storage between uses.
My thoughts on the Doxy Die Cast Wand Massager
The Doxy Die Cast is a great addition to the Doxy family and really brings something new to the table in terms of style, durability and ease of use. The light up function settings ensure that the product is easier to use, the inner mechanism is much quieter and the vibration is more powerful than ever before.
Although the Doxy Die Cast Massager is expensive, I have yet to find another wand massager that I prefer to this model. The intensity of vibration that this product can achieve far surpasses a rechargeable or battery operated device. For that reason alone, the fact that this is a plug in wand still doesn’t bother me.
The Doxy Die Cast comes in an assortment of colours and has a 12-month guarantee.
What I’d like to see from Doxy in the future.
In the future, I’d love to see a range of Doxy Wand attachments for both men and women. Attachments are the perfect way to add more variety to a wand vibrator, particularly in these difficult economic times when it isn’t always possible to buy new toys. I have seen attachments available for wands, so they aren’t a new concept. But with their thirst for innovation and creativity, I’m intrigued to see what the guys at Doxy will come up with.
I also love the bright colours, particularly the pink and glittery Doxy Die Cast. I want to see more pink, more glitter and I want in my Christmas stocking PLEASE! (Kris, I hope you are taking note xx)
