Review of the Doxy Wand Massager

After hearing so many good things about the Doxy Wand Massager. I was thrilled to receive one from the lovely people at the British-owned Doxy company in return for an honest and unbiased review.

The Doxy Massager can be picked up for around £90.00 and is available from a lot of the big UK retailers such as AmazingO (£69.99) Bondara (£84.99) and LoveHoney (£89.99).

I received a sleek black and grey Doxy Wand Massager but the wand comes in a gorgeous range of beautiful and vibrant colours.

First Impression of the Doxy Wand Massager

The wand arrives in simple but strong cardboard packaging and bears no tell-tale markings or incriminating address. The wand is sealed to indicate that it’s unused, and it has a UK mains plug so there is no messing around with fiddly adapters. The box is nice and strong and perfect for storing the wand between uses.

So far, so good…

The Doxy Wand Massager measures 13 inches in length and has a head circumference of 7.5 inches so it’s quite a large toy. The cable is a massive 2.8 metres long so there is a lot of room for movement. However, it’s not completely portable or waterproof like a lot of the newer wands on the market.

The base of the massager is made from very strong ABS Plastic and the head, which is made from aluminium, is covered in soft cushioning to prevent any discomfort during use. This feels really spongy to the touch and is covered in a smooth waterproof exterior so it’s very luxurious.

Charging the Doxy Wand Massager

Because the Doxy Wand Massager is mains-powered, you don’t need to mess around with charging and can get to work straight away. I’d give it a quick wipe down with an anti-bacterial wipe or a spritz of sex toy cleaner before use and you’re good to go!

Features of the Doxy Wand Massager

Believe it or not, it took me a little while to pluck up the courage to try the Doxy Wand Massager. I can be a bit of a baby and I worried that this powerful massager would be a little too much for my sensitive lady bits…. So I used the wand to massage away the cricks in my neck and a couple of pulled muscles whilst I got used to product. (I did explain that I was a baby!)

However, in the name of science and the love of reviewing, I lathered on the GiveLube – available from UberKinky and fired this bad boy up. Unlike some Wand massagers, the Doxy Wand Massager doesn’t just vibrate, it rumbles into life and has a very deep and powerful pulsation. Doxy claims that this massager is 30% more powerful than the Hitachi Wand and as it shakes my body to the core (whilst just in my hand!) I can believe it.

It’s very easy to switch the Doxy Wand Massager on, it requires a quick press of the On/Off button and the wand roars into life. On the lowest setting, this incredible massager is more powerful than anything I’ve ever used before.

For those who crave an exciting TEASE function, keep your finger on the On/Off button to activate a secret setting. The hidden setting starts off with a very low pulsation and increases in power till it reaches a high intensity.

To switch between the modes, one press of the + or is sufficient until you reach your desired level of vibration. I’ve counted approximately 9 intensity settings including the ‘secret’ setting so you have a huge variety of functions to experiment with.

My thoughts on the Doxy Wand Massager

Despite my initial misgivings, I actually really enjoyed the Doxy Wand Massager and manage to achieve a powerful orgasm with every use. It’s a toy that I know will never let me down on results.  However, I can only use it on the very lowest setting as anything higher is just far too strong for me.

For those looking for something powerful and ferocious, the Doxy Wand Massager is definitely the product for you.

Noise-wise, the Doxy Wand Massager is a very noisy toy but that’s the price you pay for the sheer power of the product. The extra-long cable gives this wand massager a decent amount of portability but it does mean that it can’t be enjoyed in the water for health and safety reasons.

Because the aluminium top of the Doxy Wand Massager is covered in soft material, it’s much more comfortable than a cheap plastic wand and doesn’t grind too hard against the skin. The smooth exterior of the head is very easy to wipe clean and it’s simple to maintain between uses, which is a plus for me.

Overall, I think the Doxy Wand Massager an excellent wand vibrator and something that can even satisfy the most hardened players. It works well for masturbation because it achieves fast and powerful results, but it can also be enjoyed during foreplay too. The quality of the wand is excellent and it’s a British-made toy that’s built to last.

The Doxy  Massager is easy enough for a beginner to use and powerful enough for a veteran to enjoy so it’s something that I’d recommend to anyone. It can also be used to massage sports injuries and general aches and pains so it’s quite a versatile and interesting product.

In fact, it’s SO good, my husband is trying to steal it from me because he reckons he can use it to mix concrete…..

As if!! (Runs off to hide Doxy in a VERY safe place)…
